A study said that whites are more likely to get pain relief medicine than minorities. The study examined more than 150,000 emergency room visits over 13 years, and appears in Wednesday's Journal of the American Medical Association. In more than 2,000 visits for kidney stones, whites got narcotics 72 percent of the time, Hispanics 68 percent, Asians 67 percent and blacks 56 percent.

It's racism sometimes, and if the ER staff likes you, sad but true, if you are alone when visiting the hospital or have poor personality or even not nice looking , that will also play into how much attention you will receive in some cases.

Look at how the press will cover a white persons death or misfortune and how they cover a minority , more attention is given to the white person.

Not saying this is true in all cases, but from my observation alone in the hospital, I believe it to be true in too many. I made a ballot about it a while back.
