Please don't list the obvious choices like anyone from the Rolling Stone 100 greatest list which I think is a joke anyway for not including some of these guys.

It's pretty sad that David Gilmour (#82), Randy Rhodes (#85) and Angus Young (#96) almost made this list.
They barely made the Rolling Stone top 100 while Kurt Cobain (#12)and Jerry Garcia (#13)were listed near the top.

I loved Kurt Cobain's music and lyric styles, but he was not by any means a great guitarist. They even had to dub some of the riffs for their live concerts cause he couldn't get them right.

I am a big fan of George's work, but he doesn't belong on this list. He was ranked at #21 of all time.

Thats because Rolling Stone magazine is a FLUFF music magazine. Most of the people who read rolling stone dont know what a humbucker is.Kurt Cobain was a decent songwriter his guitar playing was average at best.
