Another brilliant idea from the minds of finance companies. No wonder they have billions to pay their CEO's bonuses every year.
Voted : Yes I knew this
ToS. That's why if you are gonna be late try to work something out with the company before it comes to problems.
seriously though, who's stupid enough to finance computers??? I used a 5 year laptop that was broken in several places right up to 6 months ago. Computers are cheap, you can pick up one for probably the first payment on such financing scheme. Typical "living beyond the means" scenario. of course the finance companies are going to take advantage of it....

seriously though, who's stupid enough to finance computers???-LCD Well um someone's doing it or there would be no market for it. I can count at least seven people I know in person who do such evil things lol.

Another reason I stay away from The Evil That Is Microsoft-in-the-head... (all praise to Firefox)
mojo, there aren't any crosshairs on that pic...
Instead of financing for a new computer, just wait a few months, saving your money during that time, and you'll have enough to buy one.
Voted : My opinion below
Fair enough.
I call bull! But to be honest I wouldn't know, I don't do finance.

Almost cyber-repo.
What is this thing called The Bill and Melinda Gates Corporation ?
If you mean the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, it's a charitable organization that donates billions to various causes. And yeah, it could all be an evil scheme to use it as a tax write-off. But at least they're donating it and not stashing it away in some offshore bank account that no one will ever know about.
I don't know if Microsoft has anything to do with this action, might just be between computer maker, finance company and consumer, could happen to other operating systems as well. My classmate just happened to have windows.
