Probably not. I think, unfortunately, there will always be some form of bigotry; it could just be human nature. It's sad though. But, even people who say they are not racist, have some form of bigotry against some group. At least it seems that way. As for Obama, I recently told someone who held similar views as the person you describe that his Mother is White. His reply? "Half isn't good enough and that guy only cares about his Black half." Isn't that awful?

Bigotry is something you learn. usually from your Parents. And it's embedded to the person at a very young age.

I shake my head as well, larry. What little hope I find for the species is almost constantly swept aside in the face of such.

In general conversation I have found that a lot of Blacks are concern about the possibility of Obama being assasinated if elcted. Many won't vote for him for that reason...especially older peopel who have witnessed blatant racism and/or were adults during the sixties.
^That is sad , and what's more sad, they are probably right, I'm sure there are plenty of racist nuts out there that will try.

It happends everywhere, I am afraid to sya that it seems like there is no end to racism...
I find a LOT of minorities are actually the hardest on their own race as well... for example, I know this lady and she is mexican-american, like 3-4 generation and she professes how much she hates "Wet Backs". I just don't get it.
Natural selection is a sloppy,half of the piss landed outside of the toilet bowl,apparatus.
Racism is one form of inaccurate aiming.That said ... social engineers who fail to take into account the messy side of selection only make the problem much much worse.
