when you were a child?

Seems each generation had a different part of the world that parents used when their kids wouldn't eat .

For me it was Africa and sometimes they would say, "we have people right here in America that would love to have that food"

With my Grandfather it was South America and my Dad said he was told China.

I never hear South America, although I think it can still apply in some parts, probably a lot of countries we don't think of as having that problem, do have those who go to bed hungry.

My parents never told me to eat because of starving chidlren. This was because I ate everything set before me and wanted more.

^usually I did too, but there were times I didn't , one thing I always knew never to say, "send it to them" because I knew my parents would not be amused.
