I'm not sure. It seems like the answer should be yes and in many cases it would be. Much would depend on the reason, such as if we were attacked and the attack was unprovoked. I guess the best answer for me is "willing to," yes, to a degree, but would "want to," no. In reality, no one, in this day and age, should ever be put in that position. War is useless.

Nope, I'm too cynical to be duped by any of that shit. I'd defend its borders from aggression, that's as far as it goes.

There was a time when our flag used to represent a great nation taht was worth sacrificing something for. Now, it's owned by foreign interests and elites, so ƒu¢k 'em. Now what would I sacrifice to get our country back?
I think it's got more to do with becoming older & wiser, Beelz. I don't think countries *become* shit, they always were shit under the trappings of civilisation but you just don't notice stuff like that when you're young.
Woo-hoo, I've said "shit" three times on this ballot (four if you count that one). Just about sums up my opinion of flag patriotism, really. Heheh.

Maybe if I was Canadian.

^What Patch said
Yeah, the whole flag thing bothered me too. I hate to think of myslef ever marching under a Flag. It just seems...weird. Flags mean little to me.
If we were invaded or actually under threat, but the flag is just a symbol of a country, like those two Romans are a symbol of Bestandworst. Makes for a good patriotic speech , I don't think anyone ever died for the flag, they died for what they thought it represented, justified or not, that's another ballot. The American flag in particular is burnt someplace around the globe everyday.
My dad has a flag flying in our front yard, I don't have a problem with it being there
Voted : Yes
Yes. For what my country is supposed to represent, not for what it's become.
^ you said in few words what I attempted to say in so many.
Voted : Definitely
For the ideals it was built upon, as defined by the Founding Fathers, yes. Not for the corruption it's become. And, were I in the service, I would make a video to that extent, to be posted somewhere in the event of my death in combat.
