Where's Bill Cosby, Bob Hewhart, Redd Foxx (man, am I showing my age), Rodney Dangerfield, Dennis Miller, Bill Maher, Jeff Foxworthy, Steven Wright, Dave Chappelle, Kathy GFriffin and Rodney Carrington?

Tough choice between him and Woody.

I agree wholeheartedly with what Beelzebubba said. And I'll add Ellen DeGeneres to the mix. She's absolutely wonderful as a standup, IMO.

(p.s. Ever seen Allan Havey or Dana Gould?)

As much as I love Carlin, Pryor won me over with his "police dog" bit.

mojo, yes to both, and they should be on this list as well.

Voted : #03 - LENNY BRUCE [1925-66]
I generally am not a fan of stand-up comedy, but I can definitely appreciate how radical Lenny Bruce was. If anyone was curious, #4,568,109 on my list is Dane Cook.
