I never do, I send to platonic friends who are girls, but never thought of sending to those of same sex, even though many of them are much closer friends.

But, I received tons of cards from my male friends in the Muslim World , they aren't gay, "not that anything wrong with that" but I don't think they look at Valentine's Day as we do, it's more about friendship not romantic love.

What's your opinion as to why I received cards from those friends who are male, but not a one from my friends in the Western World?

I don't do it myself. In the past few years, I've learned that other cultures, particularly those in the Middle and Far East, are far more at ease with such things. here in the West, men wearing pink is virtually unheard of, while it's almost a staple of men's fashion in the East. Pink is considered the mixture of red and white, red standing for power and virility, while for purity.
