Voted : Not so great idea!
Regularly taying awake for 48 hours would probably shorten your life. You might start laying eggs though.
^LOL .. I know I used to stay awake 48 hours at a time on a regular basis, it probably did mess up my body more than anything.... (although the problem was I was getting 4 hours sleep after that 48 hour cycle) I wonder if it was 30-36 hours, and you get plenty of sleep, I don't think anyone would notice, and it probably would lengthen your life, if you have any genes that you share with chickens or cows - and you do.

I think somethings gone wrong there somewhere.

Entropy runs the Master Clock. Time has built-in ways of keeping things in order, IMO.

Not really a great idea. Because chickens (fryers and such for meat) also used to be raised (and still are in some cases) in houses with the lights on 24 hours a day. This speeds up their metabolic rate, making them grow faster. Which means they also die faster. You can walk into chicken house and yell and it's not abnormal for about a dozen of them within close range to die of heart attack.
