I remember briefly falling asleep on my motorcycle, going 65mph on a freeway, at 4am, after 500miles ride. scared me enough for me to stop right away and seek shelter.

Back in 1993, after a double shift with only four hours of sleep and a 35 mile drive to get home. I rolled my pick-up 6 times and flip it twice!

Did so in near-darkness, while driving from Georgia to Virginia. Almost went off the highway. Lucky for me, there was an exit ramp ahead.

Once. Lucky for me I wasn't going too fast. I totaled my car, though.

Yep. I was riding home after the Oktoberfest in Munich when I started swerving all over the Autobahn... I pulled in to a Raststätte and me & the girlfriend slept for 3 hours, helmets off but still fully kitted-up.
(No); too much consistent anxiety and past stimulant abuse to accidentally fall asleep anywhere. I'm glad you learned your lesson. When my brother died in a car crash a few years ago (not sleep-related) the first thoughts and feelings were of course about him, because no one else was injured or killed. Then I started wondering about how things would be if he'd hurt or killed anyone else and realized they would've been a lot worse. Since cars are so ubiquitous it can be easy to lose track of how intrinsically dangerous they are.
