Voted : No, I do not know any Republican who did that personally.
This is America and certified voters can freely vote however they wish.
Voted : No, I do not know any Republican who did that personally.
Here in PA, we're only allowed to vote in the primaries of our registered parties. If you're an independent or a third party, well "eff you" as far as the board of elections is concerned.
Texas is an open primary state. But usually people in each party stay put in his/her own primary.
According to exit polls in Ohio, Republicans voting in the Democratic primary voted 6 out of 10 for Obama, while "independents" split evenly between Clinton and Obama. In Texas, both Republicans and independents voting in the Democratic primary split evenly between Clinton and Obama. Basically, independents and Republicans who voted in the democratic primary were a non-factor. In Ohio, even though some republicans went for Obama, she still clobbered him overall. I also don't know any republicans who voted in the democratic primary.
Voted : Yes,I know at least one Republican who voted in the Dem. Primary
I know a few who voted for Obama because generally and honestly speaking, most Mexican's here won't vote for a black candidate. It's this racial thing going on here between the two that's not heard about much in the media. Hispanics here generally vote democrat, but there are also pockets of them in the more rural areas that are diehard republican. As a result, a lot of republicans here feel that if Obama gets nominated, McCaine will win in November in Texas.
