COMMENTS:
just some comments I see made nucks
In my opinion, some opinions are just wrong and anyone who disagrees is stupid. cwutididthur?
ie- if it's someone's opinion that they are right and everyone else is dumb... well... you see where I'm going with this.

Great ballot. Some people have no problem showing disrespect to others who are not of their opinion. And, would never **ever** be friends with them. For one so young, larrynelmira, you are very astute. Thank you.
Voted : Depends on what the topic is and what's fact or not.
Some people may not have all the info. I actually have heard arguments about whether water is wet or not which was based on opinions because they did not have facts so they made their own.
^ But maybe nothing really makes sense. Maybe we're just actors some crazy guy's dream.
Voted : What brought this on?
"Try to see it my way, Do I have to keep on talking till I can't go on ? " "Life is very short, and there's no time For fussing and fighting, my friend " "I have always thought that it's a crime, So I will ask you once again. Try to see it my way, Only time will tell if I am right or I am wrong." "We can work it out, We can work it out." (Stevie Wonder)
Voted : Okay, I'm dismounting
Some people are wrong, and everyone wants to think it's someone else.
Relativism. The old ethic question. If something is OK with you... is it? If something is OK with someone else, does that make it OK? It's like cheating on your taxes, or cheating in sports, if you don't get caught, is it OK? How far does it go? What about slavery? Genocide? Adultery? How High is you Horse?
Okay well I'm going to restate my question because everyone seems to dance around it: Why, if you are so set on everyone being entitled to their own opinions, is it not okay to be of the opinion that you are wrong or stupid. You're treating intolerance with your own intolerance and narrow-mindedness. However, because you think your version of intolerance is more morally correct, you have basically done the same thing as the other guy. You have, in essence, decided this person who thinks you are stupid is wrong and stupid. Get off your own high horses.
I'm not sure what brought this on. Its been like that on this site since it started. There are certainly a large number of people here who think that anyone who is religious, anyone who voted for Bush, or is even remotely conservative is an illiterate, retarded redneck. This criticism is widespread here and comes primarily from so-called open-minded liberals LOL. Last night I looked over some of the leftist blogs. The "analysis" was basically of this type: "How dare you vote for this person! We are your superiors and we know best who should be president". The arrogance of these twats made me laugh. Apparently, they never thought that perhaps the voters were right. Perhaps these voters know better than these blog writers. Perhaps messiah Obama ran a piss poor campaign (he certainly did in Ohio) and these were the reasons he lost. I am sure most people know that I have strong opinions on things. However, I also take a lot of criticism for the times I might agree (even if only partially) with something a conservative says. When this happens, I am a traitor, a conservative and similar. It never seems to enter some people's minds that I might think for myself. A good question/ballot. One of the reasons I have made some ballots gently mocking Obama and his rabid supporters here is this very attitude of "Obama or else". You either like him or you love Satan (Hillary). Its kind of funny and kind of sad.
^ Yes, but all of the candidates have some supporters who are of that mentality. Politics have polarized people like never before.
calling people stupid is rude and unnecessary , you can disagree without name calling. Just because I might not agree with you. But thanks for your insight Nate
PS, I've been disagreeing with most of what you said for past year but I don't call you stupid, I just think you have different opinion than I do, which is fine
So this is less about entitlement to opinions and more about how name calling is rude. It seems it is not the opinion that your are wrong and "stupid" that is the issue, it's the fact that this fictitious fellow used language that was not... "nice." And when I say "you," I am referring to anybody, not you specifically. I'm not asking to be a bother, but rather for the sake of discussion of your high horse ideal.
okay, remove the horse, what I am saying is we can debate issues without saying you are stupid for having this or that opinion. I could never say you are stupid, because you aren't, but apparently many think I am for having slightly different opinion.
Voted : Depends on what the topic is and what's fact or not.
Unfortunately, it always ends up being a POV sitch.
^^ I would also defend you if someone called you stupid for having a different opinion.
You have the patience to entertain my constant questioning, so that alone makes you a saint in my book. I am admittedly a HORRIBLE over-thinker.
You have, in essence, decided this person who thinks you are stupid is wrong and stupid. Get off your own high horses. by ThisIsNate on Wed Mar 05, 08 3:43pm For the record, I don't think these people are stupid, I just don't understand why they can't disagree without saying those with different opinion are stupid or brain dead
