there was one that I read about frivolous lawsuits, it was in a local newspaper.

A woman bought a class A winnebago motorhome. On her way back from football games, set the automatic cruise and went back to microwave a sandwich.

the Rv crashed, then she sued Winnebago for not explaining that automatic cruise control did not actually steer the RV automatically in the manual, and she won several million.

I thought it was funny, so I went around disseminating this fairy tale. took about 6 months to realize that whole thing was a fabrication.

did you ever disseminate an old wives tale, as fact?

if you ever did, tell us what it was.

I got so tired of getting these emails about spiders hiding under toilets and Starbucks hating U.S. troops that I started sending the people that sent that crap to me a link to either hoaxbusters or snopes.

It didn't take too long for people to quit sending me that stuff.

Voted : Yes I did it.
The Poodle in the Microwave was one that went around our neighborhood when I was a kid .
It was more believable back then because the microwave was a brand new thing then.
