I would just lose the weight. I don't need support to do something I know needs doing.
Voted : I'd try for 1000
In all seriousness, the point of no return without surgery is 600 pounds at the most, because you can't move enough to burn it off. I would think that surgery would be the only choice at that point. It would be cool if I could loose it without surgery though, because then I could hide stuff in the folds of my skin.
Voted : Surgery
Definitely surgery. 800 pounds cannot simply be dieted and exercised off. You don't even have the mobility at that kind of weight to do any meaningful exercise. I see gastric-bypass as the only first-step option here, but I'm not totally convinced someone would be able to find a doctor who would do it to such a massive patient. Anesthesia on an 800 pound human seems incredibly risky to me.
Voted : Weight loss program
Being considerably averse to the notion of being cut upon, I'd go for the program first.

Wow. Yeah there are unfortunate people out there that weigh that much. I'd do whatever I could to get to a reasonable weight. If it involved surgery, then I would do it. Problem is at 800 pounds, surgery is a big risk. I think I'd try behavior modification and medically supervised weight loss first.
