Have you had significant periods of your life that you chalk off as wasted ?

I was surprised to hear so many people say they had large portions of their life, sometimes even decades that were for nothing , no accomplishments , no mile stones, just times they regret.

The way they describe, it's almost like they were in a coma or a hostage , years they feel cheated out of.

Have you experienced this and if you want to share, what years or time periods were they?

I feel as though the time I'm living right now is wasted, particularly in comparison to the times I've lived through earlier in my life.

Yes, and during those times I suffer from insomnia. It's as if someone up there doesn't want me to miss a minute of feeling like a total loser.

My life has been a conundrum with facets that have been in opposition. I feel like I have wasted much of my life simply because I let fear lock my creativeness away inside. I have a rich inner life, almost to an stultifying degree. Sometimes I rely so heavily on that inner life, I let doing things in real time slip by. Here is the conundrum. I have done little to share the creativeness that is inside me, yet I feel my life is quite full--BECAUSE of this rich inner life that no one else knows.

I do fear very much having my creatity rejected should I ever make it a reality. I guess it is time for me to come out from under my protective little rock. So simple to say but so hard to do.

It would seem that these are my wasted days to most people, but I don't think so. Like forgetmenot, I have a rich, complex inner life.
