ECONOMIC STIMULUS CHECKS , THE ELDERLY AND THE DISABLED

My elderly aunt who I spoke about many times on this site has been told because she receives social security benefits, she is eligible to receive three hundred dollars to help stimulate the economy.

On the next day she was told by the authorities of her subsidized senior citizens housing that the money will be included in her total income, which will raise her rent for that month, she was also told by social services that her food stamps would be decreased.

You may be asking, what's my point?

Well, what is the point?

They may as well save the postage and keep the money.

Would it kill the government to allow her the extra three hundred?

Yep, it would kill the government to do that
Nope, she receives government benefits she has no right for the extra cash
I wish I could answer that
She should get the $300, free and clear

Voted : I wish I could answer that
I'm disabled, but I won't be getting any of that action. Lot a letter to that extent. And I don't think it would hurt the Guv'mint to give up the extra. All f those stupid rules and regs, and all of those tiny-minded bureaucrats ready and willing to stick to the letter of every single one. :P

Seems like a waste of money for postal expense. But, some people still opt for a 'check' rather than Direct Deposit.
I know a couple of elderly people on 'Medicaid' and the rules are tough. Only a limited amount of income is allowed, whether from rental property, gifts or other.
