It seems to me the only thing the government wants from us is paying taxes, perhaps fight a few wars and dying before we become a burden to the state.

Not in the sense of merely paying your taxes or wearing the uniform or such, but serving by volunteerism, giving of one's self to community.

larry, NO. There may be a very, VERY few in the ranks inside the Beltway who believe that they're doing good woks for the betterment of the country, but it's far too few.

I believe the country should serve me. :) We certainly pay enough in taxes. More than enough.

People I know intimately pay about $45,000 in property taxes in Greenwich Connecticut each year. How much more does the nation want? :)
