Not in the sense of merely paying your taxes or wearing the uniform or such, but serving by volunteerism, giving of one's self to community.

More 'give' and less 'take'. Pay your own way and help others who cannot. Be a mentor. Use your income wisely. Cut back on all fuel consumption. Donot litter.

larry, NO. There may be a very, VERY few in the ranks inside the Beltway who believe that they're doing good woks for the betterment of the country, but it's far too few.
I believe the country should serve me. :) We certainly pay enough in taxes. More than enough. People I know intimately pay about $45,000 in property taxes in Greenwich Connecticut each year. How much more does the nation want? :)
