Never carry it in your back pocket. I don't carry a wallet anyway. I carry one of my Grandmother's old perses. :) Okay, that's a joke.
I carry a sort of wallet, but it only holds a credit card, an ATM card, one ID and some money. This way it keeps it simple in case I lose it or something. I lose lots of stuff, so it's from necessity.

Usually back pants pocket. If I'm in a crowded place, I will put it in my front pocket.

Sometimes I need my purse for the things I carry around with me, but when I'm not sure of my surroundings, I put my cash and my ID in my pocket.

I put all my stuff in my shirt(wallet, checkbook, address book, note pad, pens and pencils, glasses case, keys, pocket knife). Needless to say, I usually wear shirts with two big pockets. Makes me look like I've got big rectangular manboobs. Really, I usually dress entirely for comfort, so I wear sweatpants with no pockets. Also, I hate those fanny pack thingies.
