How come people in Europe would be laughing at us? This man has commited serious crimes. Very serious. This is the same man that went after everyone...investigating them, ruining careers, damaging companies and ususally it was for nothing.
So now he is Governor and held himself up as this honest and moral man and look what he's done? He is a slime ball. He is a criminal.
I know this is a joke ballot, but still, Elliot Spitzer deserves this.
Sorry, hadn't seen your first comment. Because Mojo, he transported a Prostitute across state lines, which is a crime in itself, but he also used public funds to pay her and to put her up in hotels. This is not at all about his using a Prostitute, this is all about his stealing money and using state resources when he did.

I think peoples' sides in Europe are too sore to laugh at the US anymore. He should resign though. For a guy holding a lofty public office, this is a huge deal. He should resign, and I don't see why jail time isn't being discussed here.

I agree that it is serious. But there are other serious crimes that have been committed, and those folks are holding on to their jobs tenaciously. (E.G. lying to Congress and starting a war based on lies.)
