I noticed that a lot of my friends are very negative.

about life, politics, music, and every other way.

and I used to be their king, I was the most negative of them all.

I have changed my life drastically in the last year, and I notice more and more that the negative friends that I have really have an effect on me.

Any positive people out there want to be my friend?

I choose to be around positive people. Most people consider me to be positive most of the time especially considering what I have been through the past few years.

I like positive people and try to have them in my life. My very best friend, Debbie, is as positive as it gets. When I chat with her, it is like she has opened the windows in my mind and let the sunshine in. But I also like to infiltrate positive little shocks into negative people's way of thinking. It doesn't make them positive, but it lets them know there is a big, wide world outside their dark little cave. There are some very negative people where I work but they withhold their negativity when they are with me because I don't feed off it or give them attitude. I don't try to change them. Their negativity is who they are. I respet their right to be negative and they know it. I think this is why I have a calming inlfuence on negative people. I always have.

I have a friend who always seems to look for the worst in every situation. When she talks about her other friends, she dwells on the negative aspects of their friendships.
This same friend wants to have the most possessions, the best of everything, and wants everyone to envy her, which I don't. She may be getting the material things she wants in life, but I see her as being a miserably negative person, and I wouldn't want to be her for all the money in the world.
