I am so thankful to my parents, my mom in particular who exposed me to music of all kinds, from classical to jazz to Irish folk and others.

She also encouraged me to take piano lessons, which at the time I wasn't all that into, but now I'm glad I took.

Why am I telling you this you may be wondering?

I don't know, reminiscing a little and wanted to share.

This first. Then it's a evenly split between jazz, big band and classical. Oh, and I love the women singers of the 40's--Julie London, Billie Holiday, Keeley Smith. And for some odd reason, I like military marches.
