Voted : No, can't judge a book by it's cover
For me, it takes a few minutes of observation. Oh, and the therapy bill is in the mail...
Voted : Yes, I often think that
Yes, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that. These types of judgements are not secret, and if someone fits the bill and refuses to change, that's their problem. Don't ignore red flags, even if they might turn out to actually be welcome signs.
If they look like the crazy guy in the pic.

Although there is this guy at work who just gives me the creeps. I think he is very very strange looking, in a "somebody's dismembered head is in his freezer" way. He could be the nicest guy on the world, but there is just something about him. I felt it the first time I saw him. He comes to work when I leave. I try not to look at him when he passes in front of me, but he just stops in front of me and stares. I'm no great beauty, let me tell you. It's chilling.

I can usually tell and I'm usually right.

I lived in the Philippines for a while and when I'd fly back from Europe I'd usually be able to point out a couple of guys in the plane and say: "I know why HE is going to the Philippines." =P Of course I wasn't sure, but some just have a greater pervert quality than others. The situation is also important though. To say that I often think it is a bit of an overstatement though. I wonder, actually, what makes a person who often thinks people look like perverts. A lot of exposure, perhaps?
"I can usually tell and I'm usually right." _Beelzebubba, I'm curious as to how you find out whether you were right or not?
"I know why HE is going to the Philippines." I've heard the same thing of Thailand. It's a shame because that's a place I would LOVE to visit, but it carries that stigma of "grown men only go for cheap tricks."
