why don't we just zero out all the credit card balances, student loans and mortgages?

The "Government" means the taxpayers are bailing them out so one good turn deserves another...and they never should have been allowed to charge "gangster rates" to consumers in the first place...

Until people realize that credit cards are to be paid off at the end of the month.Otherwise they will keep getting into debt.
