Bulls tend to assess market conditions on a broader scale and have long-term visions. They see opportunities while others (Bears) see danger and obstacles. A Bull-minded economist is often a futurist and tries to see the next big thing, where a Bear-minded economist takes it slow and tends to pull back and go it slow, often with little growth. A good example to consider would be when England transitioned from and Agricultural economy to an industrialized one. In that period, there were those who forsaw only bad things for the future because they could not patham their eoconomy not relying solely on crops. On the opposite end of the spectrum, futurists saw that over the horizon, once the hurdles had been crossed, the long-term growth potential was enormous. It was Bull-minded futurists that saw the potential for things like the intenet, or microprocessors or even things like iPods. Bear-minded economists and investment analysts tend to stick to the old reliables that often produce little growth, but do have a modicum of stability.
