As I understand it, the school's policy was againat sanctioned candy and bake sales, not the purchasing of a bag of candy from a friend. I think the shcool overreacted. The school did adjust his detention from three days to one day. And he got a years supply (or some large amount) of Skittles gratis from the company. Great adveritising for Skittles!
