And I got burned. No I'm not crazy enough to grab a pan by it's side. They have handles for that. I got burned by hamburger grease.

So the first time you cooked food did you get a cooking injury?

Yes yes I did.
NO.
Never cooked before.

Yep, damn nearly lost a testicle in the boiled egg fiasco of '92'.

Burned my fingertips something seriously, because of my psychotic tendency to take inordinate risks (turned fried chicken in a pan with the aforementioned body parts).

Insane?

Hopefully I will have learned a lesson from you. :) Is it the very first time you've cooked? I mean I've made soup before, but that's about it and if I recall, it was just the one time. I don't plan on having to cook for myself in the future. That is what wives and Housekeepers are for. Hopefully, my wife will be Cook and cleaner as well.

But my dog, Bobo, did. When I was young, I decided to make meatloaf. I got the cookbook from the shelf and found a nice recipe. Being a kid, tho, I formed the meatloaf into a ginger bread man shape. As soon as I removed it fom the oven, it slipped off the baking sheet and landed on the floor. My dog thought to himself, "Ah, something for ME!" He bolted over and before we cold stop him, he wolfed down a huge chunk of broiling hot from the oven gingerbread man meatloaf. That poor dog was jumping around until we got him to his water dish. What do you think he did after that? Went back for more broiling hot meatloaf!
