I see that they found a parachute and are awaiting test to determine if belonged to Cooper, I have no idea if he survived , many people say it would had been almost impossible for him to survive the jump.
Voted : Yes he did.
Of course he did. If he went splat... They would have found a body. A man named Duane Weber admitted to being Copper just before he died.
Voted : No he did not.
Best heist ever. I heard they found some of the money on a beach somewhere. I think he drowned or something.

I believe that, once the statute of limitations on the crime expired (which, if I'm right, was 1995), he would've hit every talk show available, declaring himself. Anyone who can pull off the perfect crime would feel compelled to brag, IMO.
I reckon he did, he was a very clever guy. Randy, the FBI compared Duane weber's dna with samples cooper left behind on the plane and discounted him as a suspect. The money they found on the riverbank, years later, was wrapped in elastic bands which experts said would have decayed if they had been there since 1971. They believed they couldn't have been there before 1974, 3 years after the hijacking. A good ruse to put people off the scent, I'd say. As for what Truth says, maybe, but statute of limitations or not, why would anyone who steals for a living want that kind of attention? I wouldn't. He could have become a respectable businessman, new wife and children etc, plus he'd cause the FBI to watch every move he made. The more I think about it, the less likely I think anyone would.

I'd like to think so. I sometimes root for the theif.
Thanks brit, I remember reading an old magazine in a doctors waiting room about that. I just couldn't remember all of it. I guess Roger Clemens is right... People can Mis-Remember.
