The store says something's instock so you buy it and then all of a sudden you get notice that it's not in stock and you have to wait in line while you find out they are still telling people the item is in stock?

Yes it's utter BS.
No I like being lied to and waiting forever.
I just hate shopping

Back in the Stone Age, when this happened, store managers were kind enough to post signs on the entrances saying that something was sold out, and where to go for rainchecks.
