^ Same here. I co-signed for a 'friend' (I use the term loosely) years ago. Not one of the biggest mistakes in my life, but a big one none the less. Will never do it again for anyone other than family.
I've had someone co-sign for me too. My dad did when I was just out of highshool so we could restore a car.
