Some creationists are also very ignorant. Some evolutionists are very ignorant. Some dont know what creationism or evolution are. Ignorance is the tragedy not the belief. So your saying that these people are funny because of their severe lack of education and resistance to knowledge. I agree the stuff that comes out of ignorant peoples mouthes is very funny. The belief is not.
Many creationists are also ignorant. Many evolutionists are also ignorant. Some people dont even know what creation or evolution is. The ignorance is the exaggeration not the belief. So you are saying that an extreme lack of education leading to misinterpretations of their own religious text coupled with an intense selfish and foolish desire to be the loudest person in the room satisfies many of the requirements to induce humor. You are correct! It is funny as hell. God does not need foolish clowns representing him in public.
You seem to have a big ego. I don't believe all those things you mention, but do you expect everyone to agree with your opinions?
I don't see ego on display here. I see someone who is rightfully frustrated by the poor manner in which some creationists display their wares.
Having spent 4 years on a massive public university campus, I have to fight the urge to spit on these people. Having literature forced in your face and being shouted at about God when walking to class is not pleasant. I'm sure they aren't all like this, but I tell you I sure as hell have never had anyone pushing Darwin down my throat. The message is put out in the worst way possible, and even then, the message seems to consist of smearing other life theories rather than backing their own. There's only so much of that I'm willing to tolerate before I start generalizing my annoyance toward the whole bunch.
P.S.- This goes to you too PETA! Sticking a brochure of bloody animals in my face is not going to win me over. Yelling at me for eating a ham sandwich is not going to change my mind. THANKS.
P.P.S.- I also don't appreciate people yelling at my girlfriend for handing out free condoms with her sexual health group in the student union!
