...Legally...good or bad law ? (from associated press 4/9/08)
TALLAHASSEE, Florida: Florida residents would be able to keep guns in their cars while at work or at other businesses under a bill that is likely to be signed by the governor.
The bill passed the Senate on Wednesday and an identical version passed the House two weeks ago. Gov. Charlie Crist said after the vote that the bill has a good chance of getting his signature.
"I'm probably going to sign it," he said. "I understand there are competing interests. There always are in this process, but people being protected is most important to me."
Supporters of the bill say people have a constitutional right to carry firearms and should be able to keep guns in their cars for protection. Business owners have argued they have a constitutional right to set the rules on their own property. They should be able to ban guns there if they choose, in order to protect employees and patrons, they said.
The bill states that businesses cannot prohibit employees or customers from keeping a legally owned gun locked inside their cars, as long as the gun owner has a permit to carry a concealed weapon. Some places, however, would still be allowed to prohibit guns in cars: schools, military facilities, prisons, nuclear power plants and buildings that store explosives.
The Senate passed the bill by a vote of 26-13.

Is this a good or bad bill ? (And you think the criminals are not going to be breaking into cars ? Now, they can get the GPS and a gun too.)And let's not forget the "disgruntled" employee... going postal every now and then...
This is a good bill
This is a bad bill
This should be a Federal (nationalwide) bill
This is an irresponsible, crazy bill
Nothing bad could come of this (eyes rolling)

A crazy bad idea, but I imagine employers would be nicer if you could shoot them.
