Roughly one in every five U.S. troops who have survived the bombs and other dangers of Iraq and Afghanistan now suffers from major depression or post-traumatic stress, an independent study said Thursday. It estimated the toll at 300,000 or more.

these are people who knows how to kill, and have the capacity to do serious damage to public.

Should they be quaranteened and analyzed for thoughts of suicide/homocide, and be released only after they are proven to be able to rejoin society?

remember the vietnam veterans. now making up to 50% of the homeless in our streets.

COMMENTS:
Quarantined? No. Examined for PTSD, depression, brain injury and other health problems? Yes, of course. This is what is supposed to be happening. Of course the system rarely works perfectly. They should also receive the finest care possible. Just because someone has PTSD doesn't mean that they are going to flip out at some point and go on a shooting spree. Its a much more complicated mental health problem than that.
