I've restricted adding choices to registered users only because I'm trying to avoid the usual "Canada blows/America sucks" crap as much as possible.

Is this one of those trick questions like "Name ten famous Belgians?" or "On which sea does Switzerland lie?" I have no idea who "Rush" or "The Guess Who are" but I'm sure they're real dandy. Now let me think. How about "The Mounties" they were a Canadian band weren't they? Or maybe I'm thinking of "The Monkeys" Ah well, I'm sure it'll come to me.

I'm sure Rush and The Guess Who have no idea who you are either, dude. For which they should be eternally grateful. :-)

But just in case you're actually serious, splutific, which I doubt, The Guess Who had a string of hits in the late 60s and early 70s, and Rush was very, VERY big in the 70s and 80s.

Didn't the Rush lead guitarist start some "I'm bigger and better than you" shit and get arrested recently? With his spoilt son.

Rush are a bunch of grandpas, but they got TALENT. Maybe someday intelligent rock will be cool again. Hopefully while all three members of the band are still alive.

Rush Rocks. And No, it wasn't Geddy Lee.

(sigh) I hope you're right, LudwigVan. I remember when actually being a decent musician was more important than being young and pretty. Maybe it'll be that way again one of these days.

As an American, I admittedly don't know a whole lot of Canadian bands. Gob is pretty cool though.
