Hannah Montana has been photographed in risque semi-nude pose by vanity fair photographer just to sell a few more magazines.

why isn't the photographer in jail for child pornography?

Because in america that sells magazines
Well why aren't her parents, who were there the entire time?
Say bye bye, Hanna
It's Annie Leibovitz
Here is the real reason people are angry about the photos...

She is just a Teenager.
It seems like We / They want this poor girl (She just went over a Billion earned) to fall from Stardom.
Or they want her to do things such as pose in photos a certain way. To her it's just probably seems quirky. To Us it not what teenagers do.

Well why aren't her parents, both of which were present for the entire photo shoot. Isn't it their ultimate responsibility to watch over her? It's not the Photographer's fault, it's hers and her parents if they're not unhappy with the end result.

That sells magazines all over the world...NOT just America. I've SEEN other magazines. :) It sells them every where. :)

Not that I agree with her parents allowing this, but the reason he's not in custody is because he hasn't broken any laws. From what I saw in the tabloids it was just showing her bare back and the uproar was about the provocotive nature of the pose. Maybe it says more about the people viewing it.

I like the use of the phrase "semi_nude" here, lol, technically your face, hands and bare feet on show could be classed as "Semi-nude. A typical tabloid trick used for shock value.

She's in the tribe. eek

Miley's lucky ol' Oy-Vey-Annie didn't pose her nude in the middle of an Akon/Sean Kingston rape sandwich.

Actually, I completely agree witih what Britvic55 wrote. I don't know why everyone's making such a big deal. My bit about the Parent's was more because why would anyone go to to jail and in particular, the Photographer? It's not like she did a nude pictoral or something. It's a non-story in my opinion.

early on in bush admin, there were laws passed that makes "exploitation of child under 18 for commercial purpose" illegal. definition of "exploitation" was expanded to a degree where movies like "dirty dancing" was actually considered within the boundary. I don't know whether that law was overturned, but if it is, certainly the photo such as this would fall under the category.

I am not saying I agree with the law, but it is out there.

I didn't know about that Law. But that would certainly include her parents then.

A woman must be SO much more careful than a man in what she does for this reason: A man who does something wrong will be judged as an individual; his negative actions reflect badly on just himself. A woman who does something wrong will be judged along with the entire female gender; her negative actions reflect badly on all women. Rage against one man’s sins follows the man. Rage against one women’s sins innoculates people’s minds against the entire female gender.

I remember when Brooke Shields, as a child like Miley, was photographed in far more revealing attire, or lack thereof, and her photos were put in magaines and on billbaords. Some anger was leveled against the clothing company she was posing for, but little was directed at the MALE photographer who took the photos. The anger was diverted to Brooke Shield’s MOTHER, not the male photographer and not Brooke’s father. And in Blue Laggoon, Brooke was partialy nude; Miley Cyrus’s photos are bland compared to those. Disney had no problem with Brooke’s exposing herself in Blue Lagoon. I guess male artisity rules.

But in Miley’s case, the fame of her father kind of prevents us from denying his presence. So, the next available female to blame is the photographer. If the photogrqapher had been a male, you can all disagree with me but it is the truth, people would have hunted for some way, no matter how convoluted, to point the finger at a female, whether it was the mother, a female editor, etc, etc. And the male photographer would have been largely left alone.
