Relying on the data collection from Environmental Data Resources, BusinessWeek has compiled a list of the most toxic cities in America.

EDR defines site contamination as the presence of man-made chemicals or other alteration in the natural soil environment. Contaminated site totals identify leaking storage tanks and corrective action reports.
