I get a real good discount at avis, and their cars are newer. worst are the Dollar and thrifty, I rented some absolute wreck there, (once without a gas cap - pretty dangerous) enterprise is pretty cheap if you are not getting corporate discount. Alamo's a bunch of crooks, from my experiences.

The last few times I rented a car, I used Enterprise. It worked for me.

I have used Enterprise and they're ok but the cars sometime have a "lived in" smell to them...
