It was good enough for me.
He acted very professional in my opinion.

You could say he did the "Wright" thing. MAG_rofl

Obama got upset because the pastor attacked him and questioned whether he was being honest about his beliefs. This is what brought him to "disown" his pastor. It wasn't all the stupid idiotic raving lunatic things that he said. Polling shows that he didn't convince anyone but the already convinced (Obama Kool-Aid drinkers). If he gets the nomination, we will see this preacher issue endlessly.

^^ Ever notice that the good Reverend's skin is lighter than that of the half-white dude
(whom I have no intention of voting for anyway.)?

What's up with that? 102

You got to admit, that reverend sure gets around.

I think he handled it well. Something tells me that Reverend Wright has ulterior motives. Why would he act that way, knowing it could hurt Barack? I think he should be ashamed of himself (the Reverend, not Barack).

Personally I don't see this matter as a "Obama's pracher problem."

I believe that Obama's opponents are perpetuating this matter to asist with hilLIARy's nomination bid...

Obama no more can control
Wright's comments than hilLIARy was able to control Geraldine's air head comment...

However, the hilLIARy smear campaign machine will play this one out until the cows come home...

This matter was handled the way it should have by Obama, he has nothing to be ashamed of, he is more honorable than hilLIARy will ever be...

hilLIARy sneaking days are numbered and when she loses (and she will, unless the superdelegates pushes her BIG arse across the nomation line of course)I hope she will take her untrustworthy arse home and never to be heard from again, what an embarrassment she has been and continues to be...

Obama upon winning the nomination will receive her with professionalism and respect and not miss a beat on getting about the business of the American people, no, he is not perfect, however, any/all miss steps he has experienced thus far and in the future will not be because he was being dishonest...I am certain hilLIARy can not claim the same, she hasn't a honest bone in her body...

No matter what he did, or when he did it, it will still be played non-stop on the 24-7 news channels in a far more negative light than a positive light without focusing on Hillary's lies, or question marks which should be examined with the same intensity... if you switched their backgrounds Obama would be gone already... it reminds me of the time when jesse said if he walked on water, the press would declare Jesse can't swim...

Another example of the double standard is when Clinton wins in Pa. the question was asked, why didn't he win (although he closed the gap quite a bit), but if he wins in North Carolina, they'll simply say, well, look at the demographics...

"Obama Kool-Aid drinkers"

name calling?

I guess I will be voting Ron Paul.
by LCD on Fri May 02, 08 5:18pm [+]

LCD, you misunderstand me.

First, Ron Paul is a republican (supposedly), he won't be on the ballot as an independent.

Kool-aid drinkers buy whatever is fed to them without full examination of all the factors. Rev. Wright in recent days did not say anything new except for one thing. He implied that Obama was not being fully honest about his true views. All the other stuff was just a repeat of all the crap he said before. So, what is the change since Obama said he could no more disown Rev. Wright than he could the black community? What is different is that he questioned Obama's truthfulness. Now, Obama decides to disown him. Additionally, Obama's negatives have gone up significantly and his standings in the polls have gone down. It is hardly a news flash for a good number of people to think that Obama finally denounced and disowned him for reasons of political expediency. In fact, in some polls I have seen, a majority of those polled think this is the reason he did it.

Its ok if you want to support Obama open-endedly. But don't think for a minute that the rest of the electorate will do the same. Kool-aid drinkers see no (or little) faults with their candidate and defend him or her at every stop. Look at what happened to John Kerry in the last election. Kerry is infinitely more qualified than Obama. He was still Swift-boated and had his candidacy sunk by far less (in fact, lies) than any of the negatives associated with Obama. Obama has no record (or very little) to fall back on.

I'm supporting Hillary because she has a record and voters are familiar with her. She has negatives but they aren't a news flash to anyone. She's also demonstrated a far greater ability to strike back and defend herself vigorously. She's also far ahead of Obama in key states like Ohio and Florida. I just saw a poll which had her leading McCain by ten points in Ohio while Obama was merely tied with McCain. Obama is also going to have a hard time convincing voters in Florida to support him when he or his people have done everything possible to not allow those votes to count. So rule out those two states. What new states will support Obama? None. Hillary will likely get both those states plus Arkansas. She will likely get every state Kerry and Gore had. Therefore, she wins. Obama doesn't. He isn't tested and hasn't demonstrated any ability to withstand attacks on him.

I want the democrats to win. So, despite all of Hillary's negatives, she has the best chance to win. If she doesn't get the nomination, the democrats will go down in a big defeat.
by FiddleFaddleOnLSD on Fri May 02, 08 6:49pm [+]

And in Quinnipiac University polling released Thursday, Clinton was stronger than Obama in matchups against McCain in the swing states of Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Florida. Clinton would get 49 percent to McCain's 41 percent in Florida, 48 percent to 38 percent in Ohio, and 51 percent to 37 percent in Pennsylvania. Obama is statistically tied with McCain in Florida and Ohio, while leading him in Pennsylvania by 47 percent to 38 percent, according to the polls.

There you go.
by FiddleFaddleOnLSD on Fri May 02, 08 6:54pm [+]

^ No, there YOU go again...

No valid reasons for voting for hilLIARy, just because she is familiar...She represents the same old washington BS and if you are voting for her on that premise alone, I rest my case regarding your LACK of good judgment, I guess you and her have something in common afterall...
