The key word here is "illegal". Isn't there a law already? 017

They are not supposed to be here let alone be setting up living quarters without proper documentation.

Then again, anyone who rents one apartment to house a dozen illegals deserves what they will do to the property.

They are accountable to our laws here.

that's silly.

would you support a law against renting a property to a :
drunk driver
child molestor
marijuana smoker
jaywalker
tax cheats, etc,etc?

what about their children? would you put them out on the streets?

"They are accountable to our laws here."

yes, but the question is not about the legality of those who are here illegally, but for those who RENT property to those people.

there is a difference.

Technically, whether enforced or not, that makes you an accessory after the fact since a crime has been committed (illegal entry)...

LCD once again you show how stupid you are. The people YOU mention are LEGAL CITIZENS. This has nothing to do with LEGAL AMERICANS!

I'm talking about people who are in the country ILLEGALLY! You dope!

We don't owe these people a place to live. We provice them a place to live only after they are caught. It's called the JAIL!

They know what they're are doing is illegal, if they choose to put their children at risk, THAT IS THEIR PROBLEM, NOT the TAXPAYING citizens of AMERICA!

Stop feeling sorry for lawbreakers and parasites the come here only to TAKE and not to CONTRIBUTE!

^People aren't legal if they break a law, whatever the law.
by skylab on Wed May 07, 08 3:06pm [+]

Most apartment complexes want to have a credit report along with a copy of last years Tax Form (if you have one). So I guess Illegals would not be able to rent by me. But for the person trying to rent out a basement or other rental they might have. They can be a little more choosy on who they rent to.

actually sooth, it does not make you an accessory in any way. if that were the case then a hospital that gave care to an illegal immigrant would be culpable under the law. then a school district that educated and fed an illegal immigrant would be an acessory. there's no such law, at least on a federal level and even if there was at the state level it wouldn't stand up on any kind of appeal. illegal immigration is technically not a crime. its actually a violation. there's a difference. if it was a crime, illegal aliens would be put on trial and in prison. they're not. they're sent back home. huge difference.
my answer is no, i wouldn't support such a law.

Hey Kev, get this. Federal Law REQUIRES hospitals to treat illegal immigrants, and allow their kids to attend public school!

Ain't that a kick the nuts!

But the Federal Government DOES NOT reimburse the hospitals for the expense. There are hospitals in Arizona and Texas that have gone bankrupt and shut down because of the cost of treating illegal immigrants FOR FREE!

And the Federal Governement DOES NOT reimburse the school districts for the cost of educating their kids. YOU THE TAXPAYER pay for it with high taxes.

What a country!
