COMMENTS:
The UN reminds me of "Bud" Selig (the useless commisioner of baseball). Supposedly, Bud has authority over all aspects of organized baseball. In reality, he has as much authority as the players, the union and owners give him. Same with the UN. They supposedly have some sort of authority over something, but no one respects them. If you want to give the UN authority to force countries to do anything you'll have to hire David Stern to run the joint.
Force? How? Invade and take over for a time being? I'm not sure how this would be done. You could see economic pressure but that hasn't forced North Korea to do anything yet.
Voted : I wish they could
It would be nice... But one nation can't tell another nation what to do... That's why we have wars... to many countries have tried... Sure we could try, but there are to many people in a country that like there country... they could be blind to what is happening... or it's not happening to them... So if anyone buts into their country they will fight... The change has to come from with-in the country... The UN can only get involved if it effects another country (to prevent war)...
