Possibly 50,000 or more have died in the recent massive earthquake in China. Hundreds of thousands of people are homeless, schools and orphanages have collapsed.

While this may seem overwhelming and hard to comprehend, there are ways to help. What are they?

Most of these listed below are taking donations. If you cannot find them online I will be happy to provide a link for you. Message me.

The School in which I attend the hospital that I do my clinical both have fun raising drives, from bake sales to car washes, so even if you can't afford to give money a couple hours of your time would be very helpful.

You may think that's a drop in the bucket, but if this is being done across the globe "which I'm sure it is" that would make a big difference.

Some people I know from China have a donation bucket set up at the store that they own. It doesn't have the name of any big charity on it, so I'm trusting that they know how and where the money in it will be used.

I haven't asked them if they know anyone who was injured or killed, so for all I know it might be going to some of their family over there.

WOW.... The same three of us who consistently responded on the Darfur genocide ballots and absolutely NO ONE else. This despite all the talk on larry's ballot.

I am soooo not surprised.

I would only donate to a reputable organization like the American Red Cross.

If you give to a U.N. organization, you might as well send it straight to warlords and bureaucrats.

Has the World Food Programme called the caualties in China the "Victims of Global Warming" yet?
