In the evolutionary process, humans that mated with only one person had reduced their chances at producing genetic variability. Mating with a few different people increases the chances through genetic variability that parent has a better chance of passing on their genes. You also have to factor in the time and energy spent rearing a child, and the relative value of the mates genetic phenotype.

Could be something to do with her having left me within a week of getting British citizenship and doing everything she can to stop me seeing my daughter.....
