About 18 years ago I was called at the County Level. I showed up that day. Sat in a waiting area with about a hundred other people. I was never called. At the end of that day, We were told that was it, we didn't have to come back.

I was also called right after I moved from New York to Penn. I sent a copy of my new driver license and that was all.

Bring crosswords and/or other stuff to keep you busy while you wait.

I would take stuff to do but it's way early in the morning so I'm tired and they don't want me bringing in video games:(

I have to be there on certain days of at least a month.

I was called upon to be q'ed but in the end they had a little chat about me and kicked me out that day lol. I'm the youngest person there and I'm the only one they debated about:(

^ no, it's probably has to do with your age, I get the same thing all the time.

My age, never having a job, looking like a slacker/drug user, long hair, screwed up when seating by accident, nervous.
LMAO even the other jury members were scared of me. WTF?

I think all of these played in a part for me lol:(.

I got out of it by telling them that I was psychic and could tell if people were innocent or guilty just by looking at them and reading their thoughts. No, really, I got called once and I wanted to do it because I thought it would be interesting. Unfortunately, I had some dental work done that week. I was in pain and taking pills, so they just told me to go home.

I was called but I was not chosen lol. The judge dismissed me because he is a friend of my family. He told the entire courtrrom he knew me when I was a baby. I was embarassed. Then he yelled, "Get out!"

Haven't been called on yet. If I am, I plan on pulling an outrageous stunt to get out of it. 005

I had to go last year. I was there just two days. However the two parties settled out before the jury was questioned.
It would have been a child custody case.
Overall, the employees at the court case was courteous. Nobody was rude there.

they should really change this antiquated system. the jury pool should be paid a salary, much like everybody else, (judges, prosecutors, defense attornies, bailiffs, etc) why should the jury be the only one getting the shaft?

pay the jury about $200 a day, and all the problems with jury pool would disappear overnight.
