I normally don't. I try to incorporate things like that in my diet to begin with. My dad was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver several years ago, did some research, and started taking milk thistle. In one of his follow-up tests, the doctor was all but speechless and told him he didn't know what happened, but keep doing what he'd been doing because his condition had inproved incredibly. A couple of years ago, he went for a check up to a different doctor (and Indian man) and the doctor asked what conditions he'd had. My dad told him about the cirrhosis and the doctor asked what became of it. Dad told him about the milk thistle herb he had been taking and his improvement. The doctor, in a matter of factly tone, basically said, "Oh yes, it works. I wish more doctors would come off their pharmaceutical dependance and recommend things that actually healed instead of just treating symptoms".
I don't but the rest of my family does. I'm the healthiest member of my family and I can't eat many veggies or fruits.
