WOULD YOU WANT YOUR ENEMY TO HAVE NUKES?

I can understand how people in Iran, North Korea or in any other country might say,

" You hypocrites, why is it okay for you and your friends to have but not us"

That is a great argument and they are correct, I can totally understand that point of view, if I lived in Iran I would feel the same way, but my question is this.

Given the choice, would you want those who are perceived to be your nations enemy, to have nuclear weapons?

That's what I'm asking , not that we are hypocrites and it's double standards, but would you want that?

No, I don't want our perceived enemies to have
yes because the balance of power makes it okay
I'm so vain , I think this ballot is about me
Yes, if our perceived allies have so should our perceived enemies

COMMENTS:
I don't want anyone to have nuclear weapons, if I had my way everyone of them on the planet would be dismantled, but I'm also realistic and know that is not going to happen in the near future

Wouldn't it be nice if nobody had any... isn't that what the non-profileration treaty was all about?
by justanother on Tue May 27, 08 7:12am [+]

^ Yeah , if nobody had any, including us. ^^

And we shouldn't have them either.

No. It's common sense really.

But like you said, Larry, if no one had them, there wouldnt be that problem. But even if every country in the world promised to dismantle them, there will always be someone who decides to break that promise and have them secretly. That's why no one pays any attention to the non-proliferation treaty.
