COMMENTS:
Voted : I live in a tornado, hurricane and flood zone
My town was recently ranked seventh in the nation in tornado activity and has been known to experience flooding periodically.

Last time was we got hit was Hurricane Ivan in 2004.

We're not on the coast, but those hurricanes can still do some real damage up here.

We get tornado watches and warnings here quite often during rainy seasons. Probably 60 to 70 percent of the time that it rains during the summer, there's either a tornado watch or warning sent out too.

And like Beelz, I'm not on the coast (I'm almost two hundred miles from it), but we get still get some bad wind damage when a large hurricane rolls through. The last one left some places without power for about three weeks and several roads inaccessible for several days afterwards.

Flooding I'm not so worried about since we live on a hill. But some of the local roads have flooded before during freak flash floods.

I always find it strange that the people living in these type of places persist in building their houses out of chipboard.
