Voted : Yes, I don't follow any faith, and I think anyone who does is not quite right
Faith is an irrational belief in the supernatural. Not something I want a person who decides my future to be involved with. I dont want people who hold irrational beliefs making any kind of important decision whilst being blinkered by the crap they believe in. or even those who merely use it as an excuse to start wars. Theyre probably the worst but still its a bad situation when belief and reality cross over like this.
Yes. I already hate the fact that some religious people try to push their beliefs onto others. I don't need some president doing the same in his speeches. God didn't give anyone the power to solve starvation with preaching his words.
Voted : No, I care more about how he or she acts
I say this... But all the Presidents that we have had thus so far have been of some form of Christianity. I can not say this for sure. But if there was a Candidate of another Non-Christian faith running, I think it would be more prevalent than just a quip on the news. It would be debated on talk shows and blogs to the cows come home.
^ As far as I'm aware the american constitution blocks anyone who isnt a christian from even BEING the president.
Voted : No, I don't follow any specific faith and I don't care if anyone else does or not
I could care less what a politician's religious beliefs are, as long as it doesn't bleed over into their job. And I'm certainly not going to judge their worth according to their beliefs. I know some very highly intelligent Christians as well as some atheists who are as dumb as mud. One of the smartest and best doctors that I know is my dad's heart doctor, a very devout Hindu man. It's not what you believe. It's what you do with those beliefs.
^Now a hindu doctor that I can handle. I'm not so sure about a christian republican tho...
Voted : No, I care more about how he or she acts
As long as that politician realizes that there is a separation of Church and State, and makes decisions accordingly.
