Voted : I'll just have to take that chance
We used to have a garden, tomatoes fresh off the vine are so good, no garden this year but I'll still buy and eat.
Voted : They are okay in my neck of the woods
By my "neck of the woods", I mean my garden in a couple months.

^ Same here. I've got some that will be ripe in about a week from now. And still have some from last year in the freezer and canned.
Voted : I never liked 'em anyway
Never trusted the little red buggers since their true colors were revealed in that magnificent documentary, "Attack of the Killer Toma-" Huh? That was a *movie? No. Couldn't be. It was so realistic. And they killed, just like...stop snowing me.
Voted : I have given them up for now
These tomatoes look weird. What's really weird is the day before all this salmonella stuff came out, I decided my favorite fruit/vegetable was the tomato!!!! I don't think we've had any problem with it in Las Vegas, but I'm not taking any chances. But wouldn't the preserving, bottling and cooking that tomato sauce and ketchup undergo kill off salmonella? Maybe not.

...as soon as I finish off those grape tomatoes I bought yesterday... see ballot #100422
Forgetmenot, proper cooking and/or canning does kill it. Or should. I guess the FDA isn't taking any chances with people not cooking them though, because the affected tomatoes have been pulled off the shelves completely. I was at the store yesterday and not a single tomato was to be found in the produce section, with the exception of the cherry and grape tomatoes. Which are supposedly still safe.
No. It's only 'raw' ones that might be hazardous (lol, never heard of a 'raw' tomato till this latest scare). Plum tomatoes and vine tomatoes (all I ever eat in salads anyway) are not affected.
