COMMENTS:
We had one a few years ago because it was more practical (and necessary at times) where we live and work. Since his business has grown, we've gotten a 4-wheel drive pickup to replace it with because it can haul more, and got a car for trips that aren't work or farm related.
"Since hubby's business has grown" that should be.
Voted : I honestly have no idea
I've never had one. My family travels in a station wagon. All of my co-workers drive 'em... Alone. Every day. I never see them hauling anything.

I liked the ride... stupid, stupid, stupid
Voted : they are safer
when some drunken moron is bearing down on you with his 5 ton truck, you don't want to be in a prius. it's a question of Inertia. I want a center mass big enough to fend off major organ damage. If they make it safer on the highway (enforce severe jailtime for drunk drivers, speed limit for trucks and SUV's, etc) I would be more than glad to go back to driving a gas sipping ultrasubcompact. but for now, My survival instinct tells me to drive at least a full size sedan.
