IS IT AGAINST THE LAW TO BE HUMAN?

Years ago, when aircraft were made from canvas and the skies were full of angry Germans, maybe it was a good idea to brief the passengers on what they might do if the plane was to start crashing. Today it's a waste of time. I don't believe in the whole history of civil aviation, that one single life has been saved by a lifejacket. So why bother telling us where it is and how to put it on?

In fact, why bother telling us anything because either the plane is going to reach its destination, or it is going to plunge into the ground doing 500mph and explode into a million pieces. Either way, you will not be needing a “whistle for attracting attention”.

And yes, we know we're not allowed to smoke. We know the lavatories are fitted with smoke detectors, and we know where the f*%kin' nearest exit is. However, if we point out any of this to the airline staff, or worse, ask why they don’t supply parachutes? We risk being accused of air rage and thrown off the plane.

It’s the same story at the check-in desk or on the bus. Or at the post office. It’s the same story everywhere. Staff can be rude, annoying and useless but if you make a fuss, they point to a sign saying “assault, verbal or otherwise, will not be tolerated” and the next thing you know, a burly security guard has arrived and you’re lying on the pavement with a broken spleen.

An idiot can weave about the road, generally getting in everyone’s way, but if you wind down your window at the lights and say something unpleasant and you’ll be accused of “road rage” and will spend the next 30 years pissing in a bucket and trying to have a shower without gettin' ass raped

We live in a country where you are not allowed to smoke indoors, where drink adverts have health warnings, where the Government tells us how much salt to eat and where people are employed, at our expense, to tour schools making sure the urinals are the correct height off the ground. We live in a land where you can preach and urge people to blow up British cities and walk free but you can have your liberty taken away if you drive at 40mph.

We are governed, controlled, photographed, processed by computer, which as often as not is then left on a train, every second of every day and we are not allowed to lose our temper or take our rage out on the bureaucrats that impose all this crap.

Can you shout? Can you scream? Can you pull your hair out? Nope, apparently not without consequence, legally.

I forgot what the question was now, it was just a rant, check out the ballot title. What!?? Do you want me to do it for you!? :o)

It's against the law, watch it!!
Nope, you need to chill, dude.
I want you to do it for me.
Who pissed on your parade, Brit?
Thanks, I feel all better now that we've got that out of the way

COMMENTS:
I think I know what you mean brit, the government thinks it knows best , do as we say, don't' eat salt, meanwhile they are dropping thousands of tons of bombs on densely-populated cities and saying " we didn't' mean to kill civilians"
What the hell did they expect would happen?

It's like that song, signs, signs, everywhere signs, Do this. Don't do that.
Can't you read the sign?

^ although, you shouldn't eat a lot of salt, but I don't think it's up to the government to force that on you.

Voted : I want you to do it for me.
I can't legally comment on this, as I'm only 46.21% human.

I know that Winston Smith would not be happy about the state of things. I know I'm not. Myself, I've been questioned by HomeInsec twice, for the egregious crimes of doing research for a story I'm working on about flying by googling Marco Polo Airport and downloading the Koran post 9/11, just to see what all the hubbub was about. This has not been America for many years now, and learning how Brits are even more closely watched than we are here leads me to despair.

I feel your pain, Man, It's like Eggs...

Are they Good for us? or Bad for us?

I guess that depends on which month it is.

And remember, Big Brother is watching you... and me and everybody else.
