Speechless?
no, drunk, its my birthday *hic* m 16 *hic* njoyin it *hic*
18 everywhere else
Yep, well the UK has always been proud of its hard drinking nature...when where drunk anyway
Curfew??? You have a curfew in America??? So much for "freedom"...
Yip, in the UK it is only illegal to buy alcohol from a pub between the ages of 5 and 18. That means that if you are under 5, it is NOT illegal to buy booze over the counter!
And u can get booz with a meal at 16 in the UK
and no one cares much iif you drink under age, aslong as you dont make to much of a scene
Probalby our culture, the reult of about every mad barbaryen tribe of europe landing on our shoors, that slitely screwed up drink everything then fight everything mentallety never eely went away.
I'm English, and went to Amsterdam for a week last year; it was the nicest place I have ever been to. The streets were clean with an excellent transport system, the people were friendly and I never saw one story in the paper about a mugging or a carjacking. The Netherlands is a liberal country, where weed is legal (for over 18s), as is homosexual marriage. I don't think it's any coincidence that this country has among the lowest figures in Europe for crime, teenage pregnancies etc.
Yep, you cant commit crime if you can get away from it all
Exactly! If crime is legal, how can you get caught?
No i meaqnt get away from it all as in drunk n stoned, crime like murder n muggings are usaly crimes of circumstance, orget ure circumstnaces, wht kill anyone?
Plus, no more crime over gangs trying to controle prostetution n drug deelin, as there now respectable business men...wich may be worse, at least gang members dont sue
Face it, your country too has cons.
i was talking about the netherlands
Maybe you were but see how fast I used it against you? I'm good. Wait, I don't want to sound arrogant..I'm ok..
I think what you have to take into consideration is that these are different kinds of society. With totally different laws. I think that here in USA are laws are not strict enough. If we where harder this might deter under age drinking. I know in the early 70's you could still drink at 18. Smoking is a lame hobbit as well same as drugs. But once again this is a different country. I don't think the drinking thing is as bad as it is here. I could be wrong.
You acted fast but hit the wrong target...typical american lol
And people in the UK drink alot, we drink 99 liters of beer per capita, ameria drink 89, but americna beer is pret weak stuff compared what everyone els drinks. The Irish drink a wopin 150 somehing liters per capiter, but the rest of europe seems to drink alot less beer, althou i dotn no how much spirets and wine they consume.
and its not that i cant spell, im just a lazy typer
Germans drink alot, 120 soemtihng per capita, and the czeckt's are in the lead with 160 liters per capita
i could be wrong, u never can trust anything u find on the internet
Here here
i think it's worse when 16y old pubescents can drive cars... as for the drinking age, 21 should be lowered to 18
Your saying zero Americans wait until they're 21 to drink? Who the fuck are you Jesus? Just because your countries strive on alcohol to survive doesn't mean all countries do. Twat
If we weren't old enough to buy it, how would we get it?
Europeans raise their kids to understand self-control, not legal enforcment.
Yea that explains why European women start having sex at age 11.
I Japan they have BEER vending machines. Woohoo, haha. There is one right down the hill from my house, about a 3 or 4 minute walk.
There's such thing!Curse' my stupid girl mind!I could have been legally drinkin since I was 16 instead of paying creppy 21 year olds to buy some for me!
Wrong. An 18 year old wouldn't even be able to drink a beer in front of a cop without being questioned in America. You can't even walk down the street holding a beer bottle in most places in the states.
Even in Quebec you can walk down the street drinking a beer or smoking a joint, and the cops won't bother you if you dont look like a dirtbag or act like a degenerate, drawing attention to yourself. It's America's legacy of Puritainism and English Canada's tradition of Victorian propriety that are the problems, not the (responsible)underage drinking or soft- drug use. North America needs to lighten up.
We lightened up a long time ago. That's why the shit is illegal.
In the US, you can get killed for oil by 17-18, but you can't drink until 21. What a crock.
hahaha... americans cant take a bit of alchohol
I can't believe that you yanks have to wait until you are 21 to be allowed to purchase and drink Alcoholic Beverages! I think your country needs to let go of the apron strings a little!
